And then there is Vale do Pati, the heart of Chapada. It is three days of trekking, welcomed by local families, with viewpoints that look like another planet and late-afternoon chats on the porch.
The best part is that you do not have to choose between experiencing Chapada or discovering Pati. Here, you get to do both.

Schedule
Day 1
Arrival and the first sunset in Chapada
We depart early from Salvador and head down the road to Lençóis, a charming town of colonial architecture and cobblestone streets that warmly greets every visitor.
There is time to drop your bags off at the lodge and rest. In the late afternoon, we take a short hike up to Morro do Pai Inácio, the postcard of Chapada, which is even more impressive in person than in photos.
The entire group gathers there to watch the sun sink over the valleys. It is a wonderful way to start the week.
