Ancestral Paths

A Peru that goes far beyond Machu Picchu, featuring Andean communities, a Pachamama ceremony, and trails that very few people get to walk.

If Machu Picchu is already a dream, imagine experiencing a journey that goes far beyond it. Here, you will combine classic Andean highlights with rare experiences: a Pachamama ceremony with local families, an off-the-beaten-path Andean community, and little-visited corners of Vale Sagrado.

Rainbow Mountain comes at just the right pace, with plenty of time to catch your breath and acclimatize properly. Cusco, Vale Sagrado, and Machu Picchu are major highlights, of course, but what truly stays with you are the connections along the way: warm bread from Pisac's colonial bakery, a flute melody in the late afternoon, and stories that only surface when we slow down to listen.

This expedition is designed for those who want to feel the Inca culture up close, with warmth, safety, and purpose.

It is not about rushing through Peru. It is about experiencing Peru through the eyes of its Indigenous peoples.

What our days will look like

Our team welcomes you at Cusco airport and takes you straight to the hotel. The goal is to arrive smoothly and take it easy, as Cusco sits at 3,400 meters and the altitude calls for acclimatization.

The day is free with no rushed schedule. There is a welcoming coca tea waiting for you, and you can take a short walk nearby.

In the evening, the group meets to go over the upcoming days and get to know each other better.

Transformation and wisdom

The experience with Ana Carms was magnificent. The team welcomes you and makes the trip far more special. The care they take with each one of us warms our hearts. The commitment, the respect, the wish to make everyone feel comfortable and part of the family are marks we carry from every experience with them. On this trip I was with the lovely Ana, the caring Flávio and the sweetness and lightness of Roque. I can only thank the whole team for another sensational journey. This team has something of its own and wins us over trip after trip. Congratulations again on delivering impeccable work.

Transformative

My experience on this trip to the Amazon was extremely positive. The agency put together a rich programme, with authentic experiences that let me get to know the local culture, the forest, the rivers and the biodiversity of the region in a very special way. The organisation was efficient from planning through to the activities themselves. The outings happened as agreed, the professionals showed real knowledge of the region and there was genuine concern to give travellers a complete experience. What I liked most was the chance to live transformative experiences, such as direct contact with the Amazon, the connection with people from different places and actions that encourage environmental preservation. It was a trip that exceeded my expectations and contributed a great deal to my personal growth. As a suggestion, I would reinforce the importance of always prioritising responsible and sustainable tourism practices, valuing the conservation of the fauna, the flora and the local communities. I also believe one of the days in Presidente Figueiredo could have been better used: we had a long drive to visit a single waterfall, while the region offers several outstanding natural attractions. Perhaps a more optimised route, including other waterfalls or nearby points of interest, would make the experience even richer. I recommend the agency to anyone looking for a genuine Amazon experience, with adventure, learning and connection with nature, and I take the chance to encourage women to travel solo: a trustworthy agency makes all the difference in that turning point.
